High School Expansion

A successful $10 million bond issue allowed GMCN Architects to be part of three featured school district expansion projects. It included additions to two elementary schools and an expansion to the high school.

The Hickok and Sullivan Elementary School additions were designed to address the needs of a growing district by providing functional spaces and creating positive learning environments for the students. The Hickok Elementary School includes 10 classrooms, one computer lab, one conference room, student restrooms, teacher workrooms and an outdoor classroom. The Sullivan Elementary School includes nine classrooms, one computer lab, one conference room, student restrooms, teacher workrooms and a full size gymnasium.

The High School expansion consisted of a new 1,900 seat gymnasium with a perimeter walking track, five new locker rooms, a new lobby and concessions. Also, a new automotive mechanics shop expansion was added to the existing shop.
